Charlie takes his nephew Jake to a bar and meets Jeannine, who says fast food is bad for growing kids and invites them to her home for a healthy home-cooked meal. Jake showers Jeannine with compliments on her cooking, delighting her. Charlie tries to send Jake away to have alone time with Jeannine, but Jake sees through his plan and threatens to expose his intentions to Jeannine, forcing Charlie to stay. Jeannine makes Jake a root beer float, and Jake thinks she reads his mind. After dinner, Charlie bets Jake will fall asleep in the car on the ride home; Jake talks back rudely about Charlie’s digestion, making Charlie snap at him until Jeannine steps in. Jake complains alcohol makes Charlie cruel, ruining Charlie’s shot at a private date with Jeannine.
